This empowerment is terribly overdue, given the state of the economy and the ongoing financial problems on Main Street.
Being that our target population are the most vulnerable, the poor, and the elderly on fixed income, Information and news that Beacon Credit Solutions and CreditSmart provides on personal credit health and financial information is of value to any credit conscious person.
While assisting people with immediate credit problems are a big part of our goal, our long term goals is to arm folks with the skills they need to make sound financial decisions for life. The rising tide of consumer debt coupled by crashing financial markets threatens to overwhelm the welfare and future of consumers and erode States tax base.
We believe that without a spirited commitment by State organs with credit friendly legislation along with input from our lenders and other stakeholders, we fear that a larger number of people will succumb under the weight of debt and with it a decline in the States overall quality of life.
Our goal is to lessen the pain that ordinary people suffer as a result of ineffective consumer debt management and to arm them with Information so they can better manage their own finances and credit. To this end and with an understanding of the diverse nature of our population, BCS and CreditSmart will team up with and engage multi lingual speakers so we can better reach the true representation of our diverse population.
